Impacted teeth means that teeth either has not erupted when expected or cannot erupt because of lack of room, wrong direction or position. Wisdom teeth are most often impacted. The second most common teeth to be impacted are the maxillary canines (upper eyeteeth).
If it's not wisdom tooth, orthodontic treatment normally is the treatment option for younger patients.
In this case, there were two impacted teeth - one is upper eye tooth, the other is upper middle tooth, which was horizontally impacted. After surgical exposure of impacted teeth, they were slowly moved to the right position. A cosmetic crown lengthening was performed to correct the gum line after completion of orthodontic treatment.
The patient was very happy with the happy result.
