What are wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth, also called the third molars, are the furthest back teeth, which typically erupt during adolescence or a person's early twenties. In many cases, wisdom teeth may fail to emerge fully and are said to be impacted.
Why do they need to be removed?​
Impacted wisdom teeth can cause:
• Pain
• Infection of gum tissue
• Dental decay
• Crowding of front teeth
• Cyst formation
Are there any risks?
