Myofunctional Therapy

Myofunctional therapy is a muscle training system that can help with problems related to disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth. It can be used to address the poor oral habits too.

Myofunctional therapy is simple and non-evasive. It can be used as a part of early intervention orthodontic treatment. However there are many studies showing that the effect of myofunctional therapy is questionable.

Case selections is very important, like this case with Class II Div I and deep bite. After 6 months Myobrace treatment, the excessive overjet and deep bite had been corrected. And the kid may avoid further orthodontic treatment (traditional braces) in the future.
